battery cable connection to wiring harness

So the power wire are the white ones coming from the fuse box?

yes sir. theres the main power wire coming from fuse box (alternator wire is tied in with that) and then the power wire for the starter on that harness you have a picture of. You don't need to hook up the starter wiring to get power to the car, just the fuse box power wire.

The wires in the first pic is a starter harness. You don't need to hook that up until the engine is in the car and your hooking up the starter.

If you want power, just take the wire dangling from the fuse box in the second pic and connect it to the positive terminal on your battery. The negative terminal on the battery needs to be grounded to the fire wall.

note, if not connecting the starter don't connect the first harness. It will leave the other end of the harness hot and can short if it touches the frame.
