Default AWD launching techniques

I run All-season tires for now on my Evo VIII until I can save up for something better, just look'n to see how folks launch their AWD cars at the local tracks around here really. I've gotten the nerve to up the 2-step to 6200RPM and dropped the tyre pressure to 24psi, this usually gives me a little spin and consistent 1.6 60ft times w/ an aggressive slip of the clutch. I'm thinking I could up the 2-step some more, but wasn't sure about lowering the tire pressure, look'n to see what sticks best, thanks.

Every powerband, clutch, tire combo reacts differently. If your getting consistent 1.6 60ft's there's no reason to adjust anything as that's the best you can expect out of street tires. Just make sure you preload the drive train every time so you don't break anything.

You can use it, but you don't need to use the E-brake to preload the drivetrain.

That's true, I just saw that Curt Brown video of him bust'n out a 10 sec timeslip on an Evo/FP Green setup (on street tires, 93 oct, built motor etc.).
and was just wondering if I could eek out something similar on an average joe stock block setup.

YouTube - Curt Brown's Evo 9 runs 10.8@137mph

Anyone plan'n on head'n out to Bradenton on the 9th?

One of Curt Brown's trade secret's is he lightens the living crap out of his cars. The average Joe will never see Curt Brown results.

I'm referring to trapping 137mph on the Green on 93oct as it is claimed. There is a hell of a lot more to the setup then will ever be disclosed.

Quick example. Back when Curt Brown went 10.59 on his stock Evo8 turbo in his black Evo that he sold, he replaced the floor boards with aluminum. That's just one small example of the extreme comfort sacrificing weight savings that Curt does to his vehicles to help churn out amazing results.
