Default Mounting a FMIC Core to Bumper Support

So, I have a smaller fmic core. Its basically the size of the 2gb front opening. It has two bolt holes on the top and the bottom. I need to drill a 8mm hole from the top all the way through the bumper support. Then on the bottom size countersink it so the ic fits flush against support.

How hard is the bumper supports super dense fiberglass to drill?

What drill bit would I need to get for this?

Thanks!

Just a regular bit should do...its not even metal I had no problem slicing right through that shit with a reciprocating saw.

Just wear gloves/long sleeves and eye protection..or you will have fibers stuck in your hands for weeks lol

Which core did you end up getting btw?

The one from Kenny. Its a ebay core. The whole IC literally fits perfect in the bumper with no cutting.

so your trying to run the bolts through the fiberglass core ??? mabey im just mis understanding... if so though not a good idea... those cores will crack over time not worth ruining the intercooler when it hits the ground at any speeed because the bolts pulled through...

The pipes will still hold it up...its not a bad idea if he uses big washers and maybe rubber insulators.

I mean I made some brackets for mine and attached it to the frame...but if its easier that way its not a problem...plus hes not cutting the support from what I understand.

Yep, I'm not cutting the support at all. I'll be using the largest washer I can fit on the top of the bolt. The only thing I'm cutting is the sdides and bottom of the bumper opening.
