any welding shop can do it. Not sure what you are doing, so I have no idea how much time would be involved, but figure on 50 bucks an hour.

Already hit the junkyard and got the brackets for $150, so tell me do you think I might run in to any other problems with fitting it in the engine bay?

nope, all of these cars were assembled in the same plants, so they are pretty modular, just look at a turbo tosee where the engine mounts bolt on, and bolt away.

I would advise againt this swap. It will be alot of work. If your car is in good condition just sell it. Buy a turbo car. Hell, I'll sell you mine. But if you feel you just want to swap it, good luck.

I dunno, you are going to need a lot of parts, I guess I over assumed your knowledge level, and should have realized that you didn't quite know what you were getting yourself into if you didn't know the motor mounts would fit. not trying to be a dick, but you will need a lot of items from a turbo eclipse, the wiring harness, ecu, the dashboard wiring harness, the fuse block which is also where the alternator power connects, the turbo mas, or a 2G mas, 2.0 turbo transmission ( the 1.8 and 2.0 non turbo trannies are different and use different starters, flywheels etc..) axleshafts, you will want to upgrade your brake power assist unit, since the 1.8 had a smaller unit, and most likely the brakes as well. etc etc etc.......

I have worked on a car that was swapped by a very unknowledgeable person, it was a total rattrap....... I had to fix a ton of things just to get it running like a normal stock dsm.

if you are up for a challenge, why not swap the motor into something more worthwhile? maybe a 1st gen rx-7 or a miata, both of which I have considered at one point or another. hell, even a ford festiva or something along the lines of that would be a blast.

mid engine rwd.......... use a fwd tranny, the weight would be ridiculously low, and the power and traction........ very fun ride.... oh..... maybe one of these days
