Is anyone around here using ECUFlash to tune their car? I'm about to make my second attempt at swapping the ecu in my 95 so I can try this out....

First time I bought an Evo8 ECU from a TR member and it turned out to be dead...

Finally got the extra cash again, so now I've got a 3g Eclipse ECU, some RC550 injectors, a Cyclone manifold, and a wideband bung to install this weekend. Hopin to max out the ol' 14b pretty soon here...

Basically I'm just wondering who else around here uses ECUFlash, if anyones got a 3g/Evo ecu in their car, experiences, etc....just lookin for some people to bounce some q's off of if I run into trouble this weekend..

I have the cable and use ECUFlash also, you can hit me up too. I am using Ceddys mods I'm GSXeclipsePSI on dsmtuners. I'm doing speed density tuning this week to my car just got the omni 4bar map sensor.

If you use a 2g 1998-99 ecu you can get it for $140 and you have almost the samething as DSM link for $400 or less.

 

Your running the Ceddy's mods??? Have you had any issues at all with the setup?? Any way we could meet up sometime? I wanna see the the evoflash side of everything.

 

Yeah but you have to buy the newer cable thats like $180 I thought I have openport 1.3u already.

I've got a plan involving an Eclipse ECU but not a 95..or a 98/99 hehehe

 

I wrote off my cable cost when I sold my AFC. It was nice to sell the $200 afc I paid $180 for 6yrs ago and got the next best thing next to EMS. Plus you have the ability to ecuflash Evo/STi/WRX etc.

If you ever want get your car flashed I can help. I don't have a wideband I can remove but if you have one we are good to go. Just correct for injectors and add advanced timing til you get knock and back it down 1 degree its all really simple once you get the idea of things.

The ceddy mods works great and we now have Speed Density 2.0 which I am switching over too within the next few days as the coding is being finished.
