single cam turbo...lol. It fits but for a swap, An Evo 4g63 will be easier than the eclipse 4g63 cuz the tranny on mirage is in the same side as evos.

^^ single cam turbo mirage from orlando...I made a thread like this a while back..

Well, if thats the only swap for the car, then ill just keep the stocker and rebuild it. My plans for the car would be to retain all the power options and a/c ... just a mild build (stock specs, just beef it up with arp's and race bearings and forged internals) not looking to get crazy HP, just around 200-250 wheel on 10ish psi. I would just get the motor built to be reliable not fast. It will be a DD and like I said ... slammed with wheels and clean.

What other motors would you have in mind?? 4g63 is like the best mitsu motor you can get...i doubt that the TT engine will fit but there is an eclipse with that swap in it...if you want more of a challange with a cheaper start up price.. Get a 420a build it up w/ or without boost...and u could do the same w/ the non turbo 4G63 build it N/A & boost it later on...

Forged internals is not a "mild" build, and you won't need forged internals to make 200-250hp. ARP's and bearings should be fine, and get the rotating assembly balanced.

Your mis-cueing the whole point. If I keep the stock internals and run 10lbs on a motor with 150k miles. Who knows how long the old ass rings and bearings and headgasket will hold up and who knows if that motor has ever been overheated or brought to redline ... replacing the stock internals with forged internals with stock compression will not make the car any faster, just make the motor stronger and more reliable. Besides, im sure it will occasionally see 15-17lbs. Stock internals wont hold up.

Either way, the motor will be built (mildly) with forged internals and stock specs for reliability, not power. My power goal will be around 200-250 wheel.

Is the stocker a good and easy motor to see those numbers?

I did'nt say not to rebuild the motor. A simple rebuild with new bearings rings and gaskets would essentially be a new motor and should be fine for your goals. but if you want a bullet proof motor to only make 250hp then I guess it's your money.

You would be much better off swapping in a 4g64 from a 3g Eclipse/ 8g Galant. Those motors will reliably hold 300whp all day long from the factory, plus you will get a bit more displacement. Should be your most affordable option.
