so since i need to tires anyways, whats the highest profile tires i could fit on 17in rims on a 2g. now i know it wont make much of a differance but anything will help and since i'm out of a job, buyin bigger rims is out of the question...

well 225/55 16 barely rubs in the back when you hit hard bumps. so figure out how tall that is and then get that height on a 17..maybe a little smaller.

but really it depends on the shock/spring combo, offset, and whether or not you are willing to run spacers/roll your fenders.

Depends on what tire width you are running too. If you have an 8 or 7.5" wide rim then get a 225 or 235 width and 45 sidewall.

I am running 215/55ZR16 on a 16x7 rim. Lowered on Eibach ProKits and do not have much problem - but it is usually only me in the front and my emergency tools in the hatch.

use the following to compare current tire with possible solutions.

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...foTireMath.jsp

Just google man. These are common tools.

you should try 225/50/16 on those...speedo is pretty damn close and you get a smaller sidewall/wider tire..
