255lph fuel pump
i have a 90 laser turbo. anyone knwo where i can get a NEW 255lph for a good price? also is anyone in here willing to help install or know a good install place for cheap?

The pump swap isnt bad at all hardest part is getting the fuel line loose get some Blaster and let it soak on the fittings over night they can be a major PITA to loosen!!
If the car is FWD make sure to do it on an empty tank or be prepared to drain the fuel in the tank. The fuel pump bracket on the FWDs is held in place by a bolt through the bottom of the fuel tank doubles as a drain plug for the fuel tank you have to take the bolt out to remove the fuel pump assembly you also need to loosen the rear holding straps for the fuel tank to let it drop just enough to get the fuel pump assembly out.
All in all not bad to change out the higher you can get the rear the easier it will be car lift is very desirable.

i goto ptec im in the autmotive class so i have access to over 15 lifts...and all tools i have never worked on anything like that at all really is it somehtin i could learn by just doing it...like will i see what i have to do as i go along

its really simple man.... REALLY simple....... heck I can tell you what tools youll need. phillips head screwdriver 14mm flare wrench and a 19mm flare wrench and a pair of vise grips (just in case the flare wrench starts slipping). a pair of wire cutters and a couple of zip ties. a small piece of rubber would be nice also.
theres a cover plate you have to remove then unplug the pump. remove the fuel feed line and unscrew the screws holding the pump mounting assembly in the tank.
when you mount the new pump to the mounting bracket put a small piece of rubber between the pump and the back of the bracket. it quiets it down a little and use the zippy tie to hold it in place on the bracket.

ooh that doesnt seem that hard but i dont think i will be installing it any time soon seeing as how i had to put my car in the shop today for a new shift cable...($290) so that basically used the money i was gonna use to get the 255lph and the boost controller....o-well i guess i have to get a job...=(
