i'm looking at getting a starion and the guy that i'm buying it from keeps saying it's a 4g63 but i started looking aroud and found that the american models came with a 4g54. so my question is, did the U.S. model ever come with a 4g63 and if not is it easy to swap, as in bolting right up, or would it just be better to build the 4g54?

My bro sold one he was gonna swap a 4G into....keeps tryna talk me into one, but I don't like that old back to the future lookin stuff lol

well i found out that the guy buying my truck just got one and he said i can buy it from him but he wants to use it this season for autox so i'm gonna help him work on it and then buy it off of him

Yea I had a nice one I bought for a project... the US ones cam with the G54B turbo running a 12A turbo.. Try to find one with the SHP package.. they come with 8 way adjustable shocks all the way around and 9 inch wide rear rims.. the stockers look pretty badass in person tho not so well in pics unless they are polished.. but you'll run into problems swapping in the 4g63t because the cam sensor will hit the firewall.. I ended up sellin the project for dirt cheap..with an extra set of wheels... it was a pretty rare model too.. SHP package with a 5spd and a sunroof...

we'll i've already got one lined up with a clean body. i'm just exploring my options with the build whether i should swap or build the stock motor. it's almost like a 420a project but it came stock with a snail.
