what would i need to safely build....
a N/a 4g63 engine for boost... I just found a 94 eclipse gs for $1000, but im a fiend for boost.. how much would i have to lower the compression, and would i need aftermarket internals before I boost?? i kno injectors, fuel pump, and the headgasket but wat kind would lower compression enuf? For the record i havent purchased due to this lovely holiday, earliest i think i can get it iz monday..

Sure you can boost it. Internals are fine AS LONG as you dont run a lot of boost. I think 10psi on say a mitsu turbo would be the max. IMO. But im not 100% on that. and far as fuel system goes im sure your going to need something upgraded. car looks clean for 1k$ Good luck

yeah it depends on how far you want to take it. no more then about 10 or 12 pounds will be do-able. it would be better to buy a turbo model in the long run. IMO..

shyt everyone has turboed their 420a's...i figure this could be a fun build for the price.....i heard you can use the manifold nd turbo from any 4g63 dsm u only gotta find the i/c and piping...and of course thats after compression is right and new injectors are on deck....

and i was expecting to have to run ridiculously low like 4-7 lbs of boost....i think 10 is fine for a reliable DD build....

Ok a turbo maxing at 8psi (even a TD05 with a 16g compressor) will spool at about 1800rshared_pm (already tested on my friends 94 gs, and worked perfectly), allowing for 13 and 12 second ¼ miles. (My friend ran a 13.23@104mph on this setup I created for the NT 1g carsat 8psi).
