Default New guy to Mitisubishi

Just Got my first Mitsubishi i'm crossing over from the honda side, lol don't hate. so I got a 1995 3000gt base line model its hidious christmas green, looks like some one used spray paint lol. even painted the exhaust tips lol. its completely stock, For Now! so for any one with experience with the 3000gt's let me know of any suggestions you have. I've built a lot of turbo civics that did pretty nice but never a mitsubishi so id love any advice.
right now I'm contemplating trading it in for a vr4, or just buying the vr4 motor, ecu, suspension, drive train ect. Or just building this motor from the ground up and converting it to 6 speed and rear or all wheel drive. well let me know.

If you're going to buy all the necessary components to do a VR4 "swap" you may as well just trade what you have toward one. Otherwise, I'd shine it up and keep her as a reasonably reliable DD. I owned both an NA and TT 6g72, and they were both huge pains in the ass to maintain. I'm not trying to scare or intimidate you, just giving you a heads-up. (Of course, mine could have been isolated problems...)

damn....no love... why not get the swap....anyone with a decent condition vr4 will charge u out the ass...so if you can peice together a kit, it would be smarter. or make it a single turbo setup (60trim) and build that motor im sure u can reach 350hp easy. u might need a shot to beat vr4s off the line tho.

yeah i'm thinking of just building why trade it in pay money for the vr4. (which ive only seen ridiculously priced) to pay more money to rebuild it. im not going to do the full vr4 swap, i'm thinking of going rear wheel drive as apposed to all, defiantly 6 speed and turbo not sure twin or single yet. Most likley a nice sized shot direct port. i cant seam to find it any where but the vr4 and the 3000gt i have have esentionaly the same motor correct? i know it has lower C.R. and different internals but as far as block and valve train there the same right?

Yeah that’s my plan is I was wondering, I know the newer vr4s have a 6 speed tranny will that work with an N/A motor? And will it fit with a 95 block? Appreciate all you're comments and suggestions keep em coming. Thanks
