Exclamation Car starts then turns off

Cant seem to figure what is causing the problem so I thought I would turn to the experts. While leaving the barber shop yesterday I turn the car on and it ran for about 2 seconds then shut off. I started the car several times and it kept on doing the same thing. About an hour and a half later when my friend got there to pick me up I hop in the car to see if it would start and it did. I had to blip the throttle or else the rpms would drop and stall the car out. About a qauter mile from my house the car stalls and then does the same thing. Turns on then off again.

Today I start the car from a cold start and it runs, I let it run for a couple min and then go back in. A couple hours later I go back out to see if it would do what it was doing and it started like normal. I took the car for a drive down the street and everything seemed fine. I let it run for about 15min. I was told if it was the alternator that if I take the postive terminal off the battery that it would stall. So I take it off and the car keeps running. After I wash the girlfriends car I go to move my car into the garage and it does it again, turns on and then back off. Now I have just given up from frustration and cant figure out what would cause this.

Sorry for the book I just wanted to get as much detail in to help you guys get an idea of what is going on.

Thanks in advanced for any help.

Nate

If the cam/crank sensor is dead the car wont run at all. Could be an intermittent wiring issue with it though, check the CAS and the harness on the passenger side of the head..

Will it stay running if you stay on the gas? Or will it just cut off and die even if you're pressing the gas?

Do you have a CEL? Also, its not the best idea to disconnect the battery while the car is running...if your voltage regulator is less than up to spec it could cause a surge and fry some stuff, fyi.

I do have a CEL, but Ive had that on since Ive on the car due to TPS. Im gonna take it today to see if there are any other codes being thrown.

On the way to work while driving I was cruising and all of a sudden I couldnt give the car any gas. The car was still running but couldnt give it any gas. I was able to down shift through all the gears with the car still running, eventually the car stalled and would I started it and it turned back off. I got under the hood unplugged the CAS and plugged it back in and the car started. Luckily I was able to get to work on time. But after getting to work the car did the same thing againg.

Took the car to Advanced after I got out of work to have my CEL checked and I was throwing CAS and EGR codes. I baught the CAS and changed it while I was at Advanced and the car fired up right away and didnt turn off. So it looks like that was the problem.
