Default question about dsm exhaust manifold

OK....I have finally got some extra time on my hands and have decided to port a dsm exhaust manifold. Most of the guys that know me, know I port Evo intake and exhaust manifolds. Several of these cars are in the low 11's and 10's. This is the first dsm manifold.

My question is....There is a divider at the turbo flange, Does it play any roll? I am planning on cutting this out and knife edge everything inside. I got some new porting tools that allow me to go around corners. So I should be able to port all the runners 100%.

Let me know what you guys think.....

i have heard about that before, i am pretty sure that it does not hold that big of a position, i think you can by-pass it

is it 1g or 2g...not that it matters, just wondering ( cuz 1g looks better ). i think ur turbo might last a little longer with the divider. seeing as it probly evens out the air flow.. if u can port around it I would do it that way.

the divider is an early attempt to keep the pulses divided. helps spool turbo a little better. enlarging the radii and removing divider does far more to spool turbo faster than factory design
