Ok car is a 99 eclipse gs-t

Possibly camed (i did not build the motor)
Possibly pistons (head gasket was replaced, pistons looked brand new)
td05h turbo, all new gaskets, belts timeing perfect, balancer perfect and belt, ignition system brand new, maf brand new, injen intercooler pipeing side mount, manual boost controler on 18lbs, tranny rebuilt less then a year ago, apex N1 turbo back, Megan racing 02 housing, 02's are new, solid 180 comp on all cylinders.

just put it this way entire car is new.

My problem is that the car dosnt want to idle. (car is auto) in P or N car idles at 900-1000, in gear it drops to 600-700 or stalls out. iv got techs stumped. im starting to loose hope in it.

Car runs like new as your driveing but dosnt want to idle, dose have a lopeing sound like its got too big of cams. (if that exist lol)

Car was also throwing a maf sensor code, so i spent the 250 and got a new one and now tonight it just threw the code again (was replaced yesterday)

dont know if it means anything but car just clicked 90k. car is not makeing any bad sounds from the motor very quiet

update. ran into old owner said its the third motor in the car.

 

what bov do you have? is it routed back in? if not put your hand over it and keep it from breathing if you feel improvement then thats your problem. did you check for boost leaks? if so do it again. are your honey combs all in your maf?

 

its a greddy and i did a smoke test and there is no leaks and yes its rec. set up.

when did you call? howed the turbo thing go?

 

smoke test is soso.do water spray or best of all compressed air! if you dont have compressed air. fill a spray bottle with water start the car and spray anything that might leak boost you will feel or hear if you find something!carb cleaner works good for this to if your carefull.

 

iv done the water and smoke test. and that car is perfect... called you monday and your phone jsut clicked and want out, left a message though.

I did how ever get a tip on the IAC completely forgot to check it. i pulled it out and it was chard and slightly melted lol so i ordered another one, should fix the prob.

I also ran into the old owner and he said that the car has had 3 motors, current one came out of a 95 gs-t.

Yes turbo is working great, been getting a lil bit of extra noice i dont like but that car dosnt want to idle. just been drivieng it a bit easy. wasnt the waste gate. never even check it. i pulled the intake pipe one more time and there was lil bit of sand in the blades, wasnt spinning freely, i turn it with a socket for like 25 mins and it has worked ever since.

 

wow! i would start looking for another turbo if i was you! thants not a good sighn and if it sounds like a supercharger when it spools its screwed!

 

na its quiet while out of boost.. in boost it sounds like every other turbo. when i get the new iac imma pull the intake pipe again to check it. the noice i here sounds like a small whisle like from any old auto tranny.

We will see how long it last. i need to sell a 97 integra i have in my yard before i can buy more. hopeing to get like 2000 out of it. its an obo ordeal, imma be posting it in the for sale area tommorow.
