Default wiring from hell

I'm convinced, THIS is why DSMs have gotten a bad rap breaking all the time...

So my power window decided to die on me in that big ass storm on Friday night. Got soaking wet, car pooling with water, etc. I pulled the door panel off to see what the deal was, and was greeted with this rats nest.

Like 8 extra wires going nowhere, 2 plugs, and 3 wires grounded to the door panel for no reason....wtf?? But wait, whats this??

"HURR I RAN OUTTA WIRE, maybe I'll just use some scraps daisy-chained together with butt connectors! Thats a great idea!!"

So after a little soldering, heat-shrink, and electrical tape....

Was that really that hard, you asshole previous owner? Window works great now btw

Also, where do you guys get heat shrink? I'm tired of paying $3 for the assorted packs that only come with like 8 inches...

Autozone sells like rolls of different sizes of shrink tube. Just check the electrical section and you should find some in what ever size you need.
