Default Thought this was funny..

Took off my oil pan yesterday to fix a few leaks and this is what I found at the bottom:

I had the oil pan off when I did the balance shaft removal almost 3 years ago and I completely cleaned out the oil pan then so this is new. either way car runs great and it always has.

There has always been metal shavings since I got the car over 3 years ago. car continues to run fine. now that I think of it this might have been a piece from my old valve cover when I cracked it trying to get it off. when you assemble the two pieces it looks like one of the tabs under the valve cover which has threads in the center for the spark plug cover.

Maybe the threads from under the valve cover where you bolt it down on the valve cover has has broken off? Looks like that is kinda what it would, maybe pull it off and check? Could have made its way in there some how. Just a thought.
