i need advice i just had my turbo rebuilt and it still has oil in turbo housing, took it out for a drive thinking it was oil from before the rebuild but was not, do not think the oil would be in the turbo because i just rebuilt it.
would the rebuild be bad or something else? please help

 

what type of oil feed/return lines down you have? did you clean them as well? who rebuilt your turbo?

 

Do you have an oil catch can? Just recently emptied mine out.

 

thats what i'm sayin, what initially caused you to need the rebuild?? how many miles were on it? theres many things to factor in. Main thing i can think of, is your oil return line may not be big enough or it may be clogged causing back flow of oil blowing seals etc.

I believe It was you that I told to just buy a new turbo... it may not have been... but never rebuild a turbo... just buy a new one.. kinda like a tv... there are no tv repair men any longer... because the new tv is nearly as much as fixing them...

 

yea right dude, unless ur going with a $100 ebay turbo. rebuild away haha
