Default Water pump difference...

While changing out the the timing belt on my 95 GST I am also swapping out the water pump. The older water pump has to blades enclosed, by saying enclosed I mean that you can only see the outer tip of the blades when you angle it right because of a flat piece of metal which would be right up close to the engine block, while the new pump has the blades in plain view site. Should I have any cooling issues with the new pump? I wouldnt think so but you guys know this overall job can be a pain so I would hate to change it back out soon afterwards. thanks

I agree, that flat metal piece in the old pump seems to take up half the blade space as compared to the new one.
