You think you got lucky. you likely have a bent rod. car will still run normal. I bent a rod in when alky pump stuck on. car ran fine after the cylinder was clear. you can check by measuring pistons heights at TDC with plugs out. The bent rod was .050 lower for me.

Started right up. She would bairly stay on, kept having to give he gas not to shut off. After a few minutes I got the rpm to climb to about 5-6k. When I let off, water gushed out of my BOV. Weird huh. Also had water coming out of my exhaust manifold. Freaken water was everywhere.
Anyways I drove her around, couldn't get her to go pass 30mph, she'd buck then want to shut off. Let her sit another day and Monday I was forced to go to work. This time she would go 40mph but when I gave her alot of gas she would stall and the rpm's would just drop. Also back fired which scared the crap out of me. When she'd stall I'd pop the clutch to get her going again. It is now Tuesday and she is driving normal. Normal rpm's and no bucking, 60mph steady so I'm good. This is the same car that jumped timing while driving, towed home then to Brothers who put it back in timing and had no bent rods or and damage. Cranked her up and away I went. So that was my adventure hee hee.
Might wanna check the alternator too. I don't know how many I have killed just driving through puddles, plus my lack of heat shields doesn't help either.

I'll look into that.

I have to agree wit Lancerman this happened to a friends talon awhile back and whats really crazy is you can't even tell you have a bent rod! He ran a 7.7 1/8th like that on 24lbs (sm16g) and never gave a problem, few months later we decide to build it and this is what we find!
