Ok so i have yet to find a good short shifter for the car. does anyone have a good short shifter? if so what kind and where did u get it and for how much?

the ones i have tryed r shit and dont even lower the shifter hight at all.

 

b&m shortens the shift not the height. Youd have to cut and weld which im going to be doing soon. Go on ebay they make a clone for cheap.

 

will it make you have 7 gears like BRIAN EARL SPILNER

i have a cut shifter and i love it. third to fourth is just closing my hand, don't even have to move my arm, lol

Most DSM tranny's need shifted slow and easy in my opinion. They dont really seem like they can handle agressive gear grabbing, I have sent 1 tranny to TRE and have another one that needs sent. The tranny in my Talon seems to be holding up fine now that I have calmed down a little on shifting fast and aggresively. But in the end do what you gotta do.

you have seen my shifter...its too short for me IMO. Maybe I just need a weighted shift knob
