Whats up TR, Look I'm new to the mitsubishi world. I having problems with the car. The car turns on but does not want to accel right and when I drive the car it wants to shut off. Has anyone had this problem before with there starion. I have replaced injectors, fuel pump, spark plugs and wires, cap and rotor. I've done a complete tune up but the bitch still misses and wont accel right then it turns off. I cant firgure out whats wrong any info will help.

Try taking a boost leak test from the sounds of it that may be your issue when you changed plugs were they fouled out bad (looked really black)? if so thats more than likely the prob. If this isnt the problem the you may wanna talk to drew at Darkside Performance! I had some crazy wiring issues with my 88 starion and he took care of it for me and didnt put a big dent in my wallet!

 

Thanks for the info I will check out the fuel filter and also I will check out to see if I have a boost leak.

 

Does anyone know what kind of hose is used for the intercooler on starion. I found it was leaking from there and I need to replace it. That is causing my problem right know. But I got the car to finally run but it is not responding good cause of the leak.

What part of the hose? Try to be a little more specific, do you mean the one that runs from the upper intercooler pipe to the wastegate on the turbo? Or are you refering to the intercooler piping itself! I have extra stock piping so let me know if I can help you out!
