speedometer went out.

Default speedometer went out.

so, the speedometer went out on my 97 eclipse gs.
i'm wondering if anyone would know what the problem could be?

Vehicle Speed Sensor. It sits on the top of your transmission in a slightly recessed area, if you have an NVT-350.

Be VERY careful when you remove/install it, as it has a gear that loves to fall off into the transmission itself.
