Default 2 Questions

I'm taking off some pieces from the engine bay to clean up and i'm working on the thermostat housing right now and the exhaust mani/turbo....

well i got the two pieces off for the thermo housing that connect the radiator hoses too....but i can't seem to get the actual housing off.....i unbolted the 4 12mm bolts holding it to the engine/head.....but i can't seem to get it off....it looks to be attached to a pipe of some sort that runs along the front of the head (behind the exhaust mani) all the way to the drivers side.....

#1
does this piece unbolt....or unscrew some how.....or do i need to take the whole pipe section that it's attached to off???

2nd question is.....whats it mean when u jack the front of the car up....and the front tire does not come off the ground????

i'm assuming....bad strut/shock???

i put the jack right behind the tire....where the sideskirt begins....jacked it about 1/2 way....and the tire has not come off the ground at all....

thanks

it sounds like ur talking about the pipe that feeds water to the oil cooler, u should be able to get it off.

it should just pop off. When i changed my therm i had to kind of bang it a lil cuz of the sealant and shit. as far as your suspension, if its a stock suspension probably just has a lot of travel keep on jackin it up

The housing just sits on the pipe with a o ring. If your pulling the housing off you better get another o ring or your gonna have a coolant leak. You should just be able to give it a lil tug and it will come of..( as long as you got the bolts off the housing).
