I am gonna have Miguel do it for me once I get the money and find a way into my car. My key only works on the driver's side door and that handle is broken so I can't get in. I'm going to borrow my friend's slim jim set hopefully or whatever it's called.

Use the key to open the trunk and climb through. I have both sides too if you need it.

I spent about $20 shipped on a new passenger door handle. It is a pain in the A$$ to install but i got it done. Its only like 2 bolts but you have VERY slim room to get around everything and in between crap. its a lot easier said then did! lol but if the price is right just get it installed from somebody else, saves you the frustration.

Lol key doesn't work for the hatch either. Only door it works on is the driver's side. Plus the bracket for that door has completely torn off from the frame from the fucking wind so it reverse lambo's when I open it. I need that welded back on, and then I'm going to get rid of it.

i worked for mitsu in 98 for about a year did at least 30 of them there not that bad took one of for sal two nights ago took about ten min. remove door panel with window up(very important) remove 10mm from latch side of the door, in the door trace rod up to the handel you will feel a plastic clip. push it to the left it take slight force.then pull rod towards your chest out of the hole.leave the other rod alone for know. with a .25 inch ratchet find the shortest 10mm socket you can find(cheap ones seem to be the shortest!) and carefully go behind the glass and unscrew the bolt on the right of the handle.use your right hand to wratchet and with your left reach around the door and pull sightly on the corner of the handle from the out side(so the bolt retains traction.once its of thats it for bolts just two. know for the tricky part! work the handle half way out(dont force it) it wont come out all the way from the outside of the door sneak your hand in and find the secound rod. its plastic clip is kind of like the other one but not the same. its a trick push and pull plastic peace. take a flash light and stare at it for a few. you should see what im talking about unlike the other one thats open this one is able to close all the way around the rod you must unclip it from its self before the rod will pull out. oh ya dont brake the yellow plastic plug behinde the lock with wires going to it! just pull the tabs on each side slitely and it should come right off. market and put it back the same way you took it of,caution thay can be touchE! the rest should be cake once the last rods of you should be able to carfully work it out of there! then just install new one and dont forget the old lock go's in the new handle lol!
