Default yellow car is down

Started doing upkeep on the car, made a small change to car that turned out to be mistake. came across a thread that described a problem with aftermarket fuel regulators. if your fuel pressure does not stay up after turning engine off then you may be loosing pressure at the regulator. my fuel gauge on the car has always gone straight to zero after engine kill. so I took regulator apart to find the seat not machined correctly. so I machined seat to seal correctly. I thought this would help give me more fuel. as it turns out it now gives less. way less. with base at 37 psi my A/F went from 11 to 16 with the regulator fixed. upped base to 50psi and the a/f came up to 13. I must have had the equivalent of 60-65psi base with the regulator seat leaking. in short cat needs a complete retune with the fuel pressure the way it is. I tried upping meth flow to its max but that didnt help either. so.....
I have been wanting to make changes to car but can never justify making changes when the car is running well. and the car was running extremely well. I do not want to spend time on retune without making some over due changes on the car. so car will be down for a spell.

good news is changes are good. a new and improved shredder will emerge.

Can you just get another seal to get it back running how it was again?

Shredder will not be hard to beat with all the race car mods you guys are doing. It will be retaining its street car manners. It still has A/C, power steering, rubber motor mounts, full insulation, quiet exhaust, street tires, pump gas, full interior, balance shafts and smooth low idle, etc, etc

having a fast car is great but if it is not pleasant to drive its not so great. The new mods are focused on making the car more pleasant to drive, not less. my goal is to get the car to drive like the blue car drives. which will be a challenge since that car drives so stinkin nice. pretty much like a new car really.

Making power is easy. making power and keeping car enjoyable to drive is not so easy. Most knowledge available to make a car fast revolves around drag cars that make huge sacrifices in drivability. While it easy to be impressed with a low E.T on paper I assure you would be far less impressed when you drive car the car to church on sunday.

I have never been one to build dedicated drag car. Trailering cars to the track to drive it for a few seconds at a time and hope it doesnt break has never been my thing. far more bang for the buck building a car you can enjoy at any time you just feel like going for a ride.

If I get beat by someones drag car effort its no big deal. If I happen to beat someones drag car effort in my street car then that is just a side bonus of having a fast, fun car.

Had a blast this week in the blue car. Beat four cars in daily traffic. usually go months with encountering a race, lately just all over the place.
black ford shelby GT500 = 3-4 cars through 3rd and 4th
yellow 2002 C6 corvette = .5-1 car length per gear.
BMW 135 = half of 3rd, half 4th good for 1.5 cars
BMW M3 = high speed chase. 3 cars in 4th and 5th
blue car 4, competition 0
