Default intake question round vs square?

ok so i dont even own a mitsu but i put build a crap load of them for buddies of mine that are around hear some where(sleeping i would imagen lol!) my rides a mk3 supra with a 7mgte engine turbo. iv installed a few intakes on dsm's (jmf, magnues) and noticed thay all seem to be square. im about to upgrade my intake on my supra cause my stocker goes across the engine and i wante to upgrade to a front facing manifold like the mk4 uses. were not lucky enough to have companies that are none that make them for are cars theres a couple of guys that make nice ones out of there garages and iv noticed there all round or at least round'ish and not square anyone know if theres a reason? so my question is a round'ish intake any better then a square one? mistu's do grate times with the square ones!

the shape of the intake manifold (which i think your talking about) does not matter square or round it really doesnt matter as long as the intake runners are a good shape

Just a heads up, Ive seen people make some badass intakes using old CO2 bottles, they are nice and round.

rounded will out perform square all things equal. but far more important to get runner length and plenum volume correct.

are there any calculaters or good reads on this topic that you would recomend on this topic lancerman? i dont mean to beat this topic but it seems all the upgrade manifolds for my car are homemade. and not cheap at all! 500-1000 bucks for something built by some one in there back yard just bothers me you know? if i could just choose between magnus, jmf, and so on. like you guys can i wouldent even swet it! so i wante to have some idea of whats right and wrong in an intake. plus i know guys that can weld anything not to mention i have a 7foot aluminum drive shaft laying around thats like 3'' inches around. if all im buying from these homemade intake places is a tube welded to factory runners with no science behind it,i mine as well homemake it my self for alot less and get the samething.
