spyder build???

Default spyder build???

i have a 96 spyder gst with a 6 bolt block and a 7 bolt head it has stock pistons and rods, the whole motor is stock for the most part, i just want to know is i can get a block from a non turbo spyder (4g64) and build it up and use my 7 bolt head?? because this is my only car and i cann't have it down for long so just wanting to know what would be best???and if i do the (4g64) block what will i need to make it work?? please help!!!

just to let you know i got a hx35 turbo going on it
and i want to use 880 injetors
with a dsm link

ya my buddy has it done i think its the cheap way to stroke them or something like that. i know you end up with alot more torque. i think if you search it under stroking a 2g you should be able to find a write up some where on it. not sure if vfaq or magnues might have one.

You will need to get forged 64 bottom end parts and then put on the head.

of course not. with the 2.4 block and a 63 head i think you end up in the 2.1 if i recall,the head steals a few cc's from the combustion chamber. the 64's block has a longer stroke then the 63's. and thats were the extra torque comes in. some one let me know if im wrong on this?

A 2.4L bottom end with a 4g63 head is still a 2.4L no matter how you slice it. To get a 2.1L, you need the 2.4 bottom end with a 2.0 crankshaft.

or you can just get the stroker kit for 63 head/ 64 block and make it a 2.6
