how much H/P can Cometic DSM Metal Headgasket handle??? even a oem headgasket how much H/P can handle??

 

I dont know about HP numbers Im sure the sky is the limit for the cometic, but the stock composite gasket can with stand 20psi as long as you have ARP's holding the head down. To run the metal headgaskets you have to have a flat head and deck for it to seal correctly. Fasteners are key, with a good set you can crack a head before the gsket goes.

 

i was runing 32psi with felpro gasket and factory head studs.

 

It has nothing to do with hp and everything to do with detonation.
I ran 30+ psi making 600+ hp on a factory composite gasket.

Gotta love the factory head bolts, I re-used mine 7 times before I bought ARP's

 

EVO's came with a mls from the factory.
DSM's came with a cometic from the factory.

 

who tuned that? and i wonder how much i could squeeze out of a 2g talon tsi awd stock with a 16g? im planning on 560cc injectors 255lph Fuel pump and dsmlink v3. anyone? and who would u trust to tune it? sry for the thread jack just thought it was heading that way neways.
