Default 2002 Lancer OZ clutch problems

When I start my car, I push the clutch pedal in and the car starts fine. But when I try to put it in gear the shifter doesn't move and there is a faint noise like the gears are unable to engage. I can't tell if its anything from a minor problem like leaking fluid or something up to where I would need a whole new clutch.

Did you check your linkage? Try watching the slave cylinder travel while someone moves the clutch peddle. What did the clutch act like the last time you drove it?
