jsut got eclipse rs, replacing clutch/flywheel
I wanted to know on the 420a engines if theres anything I should replace besides the clutch/pressure plate/flywheel/throwout bearing/pilot bushing/slave cylinder. I'm knocking out fresh parts on the tranny besides a internal rebuild. is their any other bearings or small shit I missed or need to get? Im not familiar with a 420a so i need help if theirs something small I missed. it is manual also. the car grinds when in gear and in neutral unless I press in the clutch, then its compleatly silent. So being that I don't want to take this engine out 2 times, I want to make sure i replace everything before I put it back in, weather or not all of it needs to be replaced Im going to any ways.

since you are going to take the tranny and engine apart, i would do the rear main seal,
i.e. crankshaft seal, and if like you say you are going the engine out as well might as well do the front main also, they are cheap and just preventitive maintainace,
bad spelling i know

funny you should say that. I did a clutch swap in a talon befor with the same engione but did it half assed with just replacing the clutch and pressure plate. 2 bad motor mounts. Im really not a big fan of the 420a engine. kinda a pain in the ass to work on. I took the tranny out without pulling the engine. now I dont know if theres a trick to gwetting the tranny out if you dont pull the engine or what but mtoerh fucker took me like a day to get the tranny out and a day to get it back in excluding clutch removal and instilation... I used a floor jack and trying to get the tranny back inplace is like trying to fit a squar block threw a triangle shaped hole. I preffer 4g63.
