Well latly it's been grinding in third gear and I found out that it's probly my syncros for third. Well now it's been grinding when I go into reverse, some times. And today when coming out of 4th it was grinding and wouldn't come out. I have no clue why pls help. It's done the grind out of 4th three times now.

 

i just had kinda the same problem, check you shift linkage cables, if the little rubber gromet is worn it will allow it to have play in the cables, and you can only buy the pair of them from mitsubishi, it was like 150 bucks for them but when installed it was a night and day differance

 

i know a cheper why to fix the rubber gromet in shift linkage cables

I got a pair from JNZ for 18 bucks. Their made of a polyurathane material so it's a HUGE improvement over stock

 

Well know the syncros r most likky the problem. I been talking to drew from darkside. I found a kit with 3rd and 4th gears an syncros for 300 bucks.
What I don't know is if it's just better to buy a used trans. I'm trying to find one.

did you get just the bushings or the whole cable assembly and brackets?

 

Just the bushings. Push the old ones out and press these in.

 

yeah i had to get the whole thing because my cable broke
