What are somethings i should be lookin at or for when checking out a GSX...idk ne thing about AWD...im sure theres some pointers to keep an eye out for...

Look under the car at the transfer case and make sure it isnt leaking from the spot where the driveshaft goes into the transfer case. Check the rear diff as well. Pretty much the same as checking out any FWD besides the parts I mentioned, can't think of anything else to tell you to look out for.

he's got a pain in the ass 1g and i know he will never go back to fwd.

everytime i drive one it almost kills me. therefore i refuse to own one

 

well the gsx i might get is auto as well, i just need to find a good shell then swap...the gst is fine but it isnt awd

 

well you might want to do some research and find out if it would be more wise to go auto or 5-speed. i've always heard that dsm 5-speeds are stronger.
