if something is wrong with my intake manifold will it make any wierd noises....im sure somebody has had a reason to swap thiers in the past....

 

Noises? The manifold itself has no moving parts. If there is a hole/crack in it, however that would probably cause some odd sounds. Intake manifolds usually don't "go bad."

 

i think i might have a crack or gasket is possibly shot out...

 

on my civic one time the gasket on it was bad and it made a squeling noise. Feel around it.

 

check the intake manifold gasket, throttle body and or vacuum lines that could have come disconnected

 

do you have a boost/vac gauge?? if so what is your vacuum at idle?

 

take a spray bottle like for windex or somthing of that nature put some water in it and spray the manifold,vacume hoses,mating surface,throttle body,idle screw and base were the injectors sit wile the car is running. trust me you will know if you hit a spot thats leaking.this can also be done with carb/choke cleaner just be carfull were you spray it! iv seen guys go a littil crazy this way and start a fire!

 

im sure somethings up back there...i hear a hissing noise but its in a bad spot that i cant really get to.
