Default Trouble with Fuel line at pump

Installing a new fuel pump. As VFAQ repeatedly said, the 14mm fitting is a mother fucker. I broke one flare wrench already, and managed to strip the fitting with another. I came in to take a break because the noseeums were eating me alive.

Im gonna just try a big ass pair of vise grips on it as a last attempt. Ive soaked the hell out of everything with PB blaster also. Anybody know any trick to this or is it just simply a PITA?

It's hit or miss. I had some that came apart without much trouble and some that didn't.
I always used large vise grips for the hard ones.
