Default Mitsu Eclipses 3g reliable?

How good are they? I like their look, the hatchbacks look awesome..and the spyders look even more awesomer.

Thing is, I'm looking for a car that has a bit of power (210hp is nice) and is a bit new..

the thing is I heard the engines in these cars go out at about 100K..and 5k only gets you one at around 85-90k..which is

After that, it looks pretty nice..steptronic transmission with ATF flushes done (unlike benz/bmw and their lifetime bs) and parts seem to be kinda cheap.

Only thing is it' FWD..so hows the handeling? the only FWD car I had was a neon and if I took a corner to fast the rear dragsssssssssssssssss!

If you get a 3g I recommend the 5speed rs/gs models. The 4cyl 2.4L 4g64 is a much more reliable and stout motor then the GT/GTS 3.0L 6g72. They handle as good as any other fwd car. Get some KYB struts with some Eibach springs along with a stiff rear sway bar and rear strut bar and it's decent.

agreed the.. the 3.0 is a pain in the ass it is clutterd under the hood and they will come into the shop with the dumbest problems all the time the 3.0 has a tendency to nickle and dime ppl. i have however almost never seen a 2.4 with problems other then when ppl treat the engine like shit.
