Default My cordia wont start... Cant figure it out...

I checked everything. The resistor reads 6.5 ohms across the board. The sensors all have power, I have fuel in the cylinders and spark in the plugs. She will turn over like a champ but no starting. Every ten or so tries she will sputter once then back to just turning over. Im thinking firing order. I know the order, but is it front to back on the coil pack or back to front? Also I found I had a huge leak. Someone who owned the motor b4 me had a washer inbetween the intake manifold and the head. There was a huge gap across the whole thing. Fixed it and it still wont start. There are no vacuum leaks, I checked the timing. I set it with the #1 piston at TDC, I set the crank to where the notch aligns with the T. Then I put the two cams to where the notches are at 3 oclock exhaust and 9 oclock intake. Help me if I am doing something wrong.......

plugs wires go 4123 starting from the front of the car on the coil.
Cylinder 1 is next to the timing belt.

Also remember that there are 2 different notches on the cam gear, it usually is not hard to get mixed up but make sure when you have the notches facing each other the dowel pins are facing up

Fuel, Spark, Compression. You need all three to run the car.

I recommend the compression test. Post your results so we can help you further.

the thing that gets me is this is Jr's old motor and supposably it ran when it was removed from the car, It did sit for along time before I tried to start it though.

Update( The CAS was 180 deg. out and my spark plugs were all fouled. I replaced them and went to start it, but my battery died. We will see what happens when I get another battery

^I thought the CAS being 180* out causes it to start then immediately die? Hope you fixed it though, gl.

^ lmao... i think i would of notice the leak while tuning the mirage that had that engine.

that motor was on my mirage and it ran perfect at around 27-28psi with a 50 trim, turbo blew and i parted the car out then i bought the colt.
