my 2nd gen gst wont go to 2nd and grinds to 3rd... i took it to to tranmax and they are sayin that not only my *synkro* rings are shot but both of my gears are totaly gone even though i can drive on 3rd ......i took a look at the gears and they are chipped only on the corners......Now i only went to the shop for synkro rings...now they are charging me $1600 for a rebuild ...
i dont know about some people i dont have that kind of money... i went to all of the local junk yards in ocala and found (1) eclipse 4g63 trans..for300.... but its a first gen....i know the bell housing is different but will i be able to use the gears in the trans..and if any thing can i use the transmission off of the gs spyder or other 4g64 cars..... i need help i only have $600 or so ....if some one can help me with some info for me thanks

 

Call lancerman. He will rebuild your tranny fro you at a great price. And he does top notch work.
