Unhappy Power Window Motor?

I have an 1996 eagle talon ESI 2.0L 2 dr hatch (close enough to an eclipse, right? hehe) with some power window trouble. For the past week, the driver side window has strained to close. (I figured it was dieing a slow, painful death) Today, the window is all of the way down and will not move at all. Nothing, no motor sound.. just nothing. It finally kicked the bucket. The passenger side window still works fine. I am guessing it is the motor and not the switch or regulator, but I just want another opinion before I buy the part. Oh, and any online part stores you would recommended?

Also I lied. I have another question. Feel free to kick me. hah. the rear hatch will not open. The back will pop up, but hold tight about an inch from closed and move no further. Any ideas?

Thanks so much for your time guys!

first problem form the sounds of it im about 95% sure its a window motor, one thing you can try to do is take off the door pannel and tap on the window motor with a screw driver or something of that sort..while holding the button for the window and see if it moves any. if it moves then the motor is sezing* up and needs to be replaced. as for the hatch its hard to say without seeing for myself, have you tried pulling the lever while someone pulls up on the hatch? the cable may be stretch or the lever on the latch itself may be bent or jammed on something. I hope this helps...goodluck

easy way to test the motor is pull the switch out and jump the motor from a 12v source using the switch harness plug.

Is this your first time trying to open the trunk on an eclipse, not being funny just asking. Trying to see if your having a problem with it or if you don't know you have to have 1 person pull up on it while your pulling the lever. Or you need to use your key to open it while pulling up on it. Mitsubishi put a double locking mechanism on which is just stupid and makes it hard to use for one person as the car gets older especially when the shocks go bad.

A way to test the motor instead of the wiring, is to remove the motor,
and jumper it to a 12v source.-Bob

yeah, because thats not incredibly inconvenient. chances of the wiring being faulty are very slim.
