now i kno this is gonna sound stupid....but wat color is your tranny fluid..anyone wit a 97 gst??? and about how much will it cost to get my tranny flushed??

you dont flush manual trannys you just change the fluid, if its an auto then a light pink fluid means you got coolant getting into it(witch cant relly happen on a dsm) brown means its burnt and the clutches are prolly bad, grey is metal particles=bad.
Light pink to cherry red is what auto trans fluid looks when new. A sign of coolant in the trans oil would look like strawberry milk. And brown doesnt always mean burnt, could just be worn/old fluid. But burnt trans fluid does have a distinctive smell to it. When I was going to school to be a mechanic many of years ago we where always taught to never judge condition of tranny fluid by the looks of it unless it was a strawberry milk look thats obvisous. We where always taught to go by smell.
I will agree with a dark grey to black color that means something inside the trans was coming apart.
