Default Rebuilding Bottom End

This might be a job for you damon but not sure.. How much is it say if I were to bring a stock internal bottom end to a shop to have them build it to handle a good bit of hp say like 400whp.. What price range am I looking at? not looking for a $1423.45 price more of like a 500-750 estimate or like a 1500-1800 estimate or something ya know.. And thats bringing the bottom end not a hole car or hole engine. Build then give back.

well I didn't have the machine shop put it back together, I did that for myself but for Hot tanking/putting in freeze plugs & balance shaft eliminator seals/ retapping all bolt holes/Line hone/Cylinder hone/polishing crank/ resurfacing/ Balancing/sand blasting main caps/ and last but not least taking the internal wastegate flapper off my turbo cost me around 500 something I would have to look at the receipt but it was most likely high $500 almost $600

but honestly bro it depends, are you gonna buy the new internals for them to put in or you gonna leave it up to them to order what you need which I wouldn't do personally but thats just me. plus it would probably cost more Moola

I would just say if you send the whole block in, still intact and you expect a machine shop to disassemble which= more$ then reassemble with all new internals expect to pay more than $500 thats just my guess. anyone else thats dealt with machine shops around tampa feel free to chime in on my guesstimate.
Goodluck.

unless you have a spare block sitting around, i wouldnt worry about it. 400hp isnt crazy for a stock block at all. you can do 1g rods and 2g pistons for pretty cheap, and it will hold 450hp no problem.

some of yall should go on dsmtuners and search and read, stock 1g bottom end will hold 450whp , its all in the tuning. all my internals are stock and i am making 400 crank hp.

yea 7 bolt head will bolt up, IIRC, you just gotta get the holes machined to fit the larger head studs of the 6 bolt. i have a 7 bolt head on my 6 bolt.
