Colored Timing Belts
Well in my search to dress up the engine bay I guess i will be doing preformance at the same time.. Im gonna get some fidanza cam gears (because there red) lol but hey id prob want them no matter the color when I start to build it right.. well i saw alot of diff color timing belts.. But I want WHITE.. now i know thats stupid cuz itll get dirty probably but if I cant get white i want red.. The only red one I could find I think will fit.. But its kinda expensive for a timing belt.. anyone know of any other places to get a red one?

TODA and GReddy are the only aftermarket suppliers of timing belts that I would trust. On interference motors like ours, you don't want to cheap out on a timing belt. I'd say get that TODA one, or else stick with a belt STRAIGHT from the dealer, I think around $75-80?
If you want that dressed-up engine look, just paint the top timing belt cover. You'll never see the timing belt, and it cleans up the engine bay a bit.
As for the fidenza cam gears, those can get expensive, and you don't really need them until you REALLY start modding your car. You could just paint the stock cam gears red.
The only reason I say skip the aftermarket cam gears is because you could use that money for something else, like a GReddy Type-S or a better exhaust manifold. By the way, a good place to go for GOOD quality parts at low prices, check out extremepsi.com. It seems like a site you would appreciate.

you will have no use for either of those peices. the cam gears are really for when you get big cams and the timing belt is when you get well over 600hp

the best colored belts are the ones made by gates. they are priced the best and colored all the way through. greddy, hks, toda, all loose the color first time you try and clean it. but they are a waste of money and not needed even on 1000whp.
