Default so does anyone know....

how in the hell curt brown made 460awhp on a fp16g. tom made 430awhp i think, right? i bet its just a matter of a few little tricks to coax a little extra whp out of it, good example of how little things add up. and they expect 500whp out of it with some head upgrades? well see i guess. Tom made 413whp with 432tq

You can do a lot to a car to free up hp like take as much weight out of every rotating part as possible.

Toms car had weight reduction yea but none of it was in anything rotating except the UR Crank pulley. Every lb of reduction in anything sprung or rotating will free up hp. That means clutch setup, wheels, brakes, driveshaft, etc...

Tuning isn't the only thing although it's 80% of the equation. That's why engines make more hp on an engine dyno then on a chassis dyno...

not just tuning, but yea thats a big part. they are on dsmlink i think and thats not something that takes forever to master, and theres plenty of people who can tune just at well as the tuner of that car. theres only so much timing you can add and fuel you can take out. i think they made more hp from choosing parts that work well together and knowing all kinds of little tricks.
