Would this valve spring compressor work?

not needed. The compressed air holds the valve up. If you want to be doubly sure, turn the cylinder to TDC when doing that cylinder. They won't fall far, and can be drawn back up by grasping their valve stems.

Thanks for the feedback guys. The tool comes with a hose attachment for an air compressor, but I might just do rope. Thanks again, if anyone wants to ever borrow it hit me up.

job is done. I replaced the valve stem seals last night. The tool was a little tricky to set up, but once I got going the job wasnt bd at all. This tool was badass and well worth it.

I dont know if it fixed my smoke problem yet, I have to put the timing belt back on this morning and then Ill know.

do you know which valves were leaking. if you took off the exhaust mani and look into the head you should be able to tell which one was leaking by the color the bad seal should have made the port all black. good job man
