well I got the dsm and all is well except there appeasr to be an exhaust leak between the manifold an the head. I bought a gasketa nd the manifold looks easy enough to yank off but it also appears that the culprit is a broken stud on the bottom drivers side of the manifold how hard will this stud be to remove?? Is this something I can do ina day provided I can get the damn manifold off Also the manifold appeasr to have a small crack in it about 1 long but no leaks appear to come from it who makes a nice replacement headr I can put in there but I am still going to do the gasket repar b/c I dont wanna burn any valves but evetually I will put a header there if they make one.

A good upgrade is a stock 95+ manifold. They have much bigger runners. They all crack at some point. If the stud gets stuck and easy out works wonders. Other then the 95+ mani you will pay out the a$$ for a header of any sort.

Tony there is an issue with puting the 95 manifold on a 90-92. Two of the studs are a different size on the 92.5+ . Its the outer two. I did not have to deal with it in anyway because mine is a 94 but EmoDSM would know.

I think I paid 90 something for one from Courtesey Mitsu. If you have a dies grinder open up the runners a bit. Just gasket match it to the head. When you put on the 16G you can port out the hole to match the turbo inlet.

Certain years have 8 8mm studs and 2 10mm studs (on the outside). I know mine is set up like that. I believe the 90-early 92 are different...

this says you can use the 8mm outer studs without a problem. Dont worry about it then Tony!

I had a friend with a 90 and we didnt have to do anything to get the 95 head on now for bolts instead of studs I wouldnt replace them with bolts because the head is aluminum and is VERY easy to strip out
