There are a hundred different things it could be.

Timing belt tensioner/pulley failure
Rod knock... (cooler oil is thicker and could delay knock from a spun bearing)
Something in the valve cover (there is no telling with some DSM owners)

Your buddy is pretty sure it isnt rod knock and I dont know why.

 

my bad about the previous message was in a hurry in gettin of the pc...nah is nothing big is not affecting the motor in an y kind of way its just a annoying sound that come from the motor when its no moving a all
