Default WHere does back up switch wire come from?

After swapping a 91 AWD tranny into my 90 there is a wire that forks out right before the 2 wires for the starter that would fit the back up switch, but its about 4 inches too short to reach the sensor. How the hell could this happen? The wire Im talking about is for the back up switch right? My diagrams show it to be.

Ok, I just realized this plug is for the EGR which I no longer have. Im still stumped as to where the back up wire/plug is for the tranny.
