Got the K&N FIPK installed, still waiting on the new 1G BOV with Adapter plate to get here. Next is boost gauge and boost controller.

Yeah it sucks when you find a body. We've been getting alot of those lately, a couple jumpers too. Do you mean OS or IT?

A new fuel pump and exhaust and youll have a decent start.

New rating that gets established 01 Jan is the IS (Intel Specialist) rating. I'm jumping on the A school list hopefully here in the next few days.


I think I might be putting a hold on engine mods for a few weeks because I want to invest in a very good quality headunit, and I don't want to have to settle on one.

Ugh...

Fellow DSM'ers (I guess), just so you know, the plug wires order is 4-1-3-2 and you should probably mark off the order as you remove them.....

Still waiting on my 1G BOV and Flange from Diamondstarmotorsports, I dont know what to get next.

you can actually switch the firing order around also to 1423. Start with the exhaust and get a mbc, port the 1g manifold or pick up a ported 2g manifold. find a 16g, or swap turbine housings on the 14b. get a downpipe, turbo-back exhaust.

From my understanding, the stock turbo is a T25. Turbo-back will probably be next.

I had the firing order all types of fucked up. I think i had it 1234 and then 4321 until I just googled it.

fuck. i keep thinking this a 1g for some reason. disregard all of that then, and focus on a 16g, turbo back exhaust, and a mbc.

STUPID QUESTION ALERT!!!!


Besides new manifold and the installation equipment, what is required for a 16g swap? Do I need to upgrade injectors or anything?

you dont need a new manifold for that. injectors will be fine, everything bolts right up. the only thing you need is the install kit. and you can still boost 15psi after you get the 1g bov.

I'd get an install kit for the turbo. Only reason to upgrade those injectors is if you want to run more than 13-15psi.
