I have the head off and the pistons still look new as so does the rest of the engine. The head studs show no sign of stretch marks what so ever. The head never had more than 23 psi under it but ran 20-21 psi a lot. I havent dropped the drive train yet. I had to port the head some more because the intake runners were still to small (Im gready). It didnt match the 1g intake manifold. The exhaust manifold needed porting too. That took forever. My neighbors must love me.
Still looking for a job (most of my time has been looking). I should have the tansfer case and oil pan off tomorrow and order new rod bearings and gasket set. Clutch should be here tomorrow too.
Maybe this weekend I can have the tranny off and take it to Jerrys to get the diff welded. Who knows.

MUAHAHAHAH! That head you have is balls to the wall. Cant wait to see. Those runners were ported out pretty good already werent they? Go with the 20G man. Im telling you Joes spools fine. Sure it isnt 16G spunky but NO WHERE near as bad as people make it out to be. I cant wait to get my hoopty straightened out. Waiting on confirmation on my Turbo. Everything else is sitting here rotting just waiting for it. Get a Tial wastegate when you get one. This thing is beutiful. I dont think Jerry will ever buy a Deltagate after seeing this. mid 11s are in my future and that will be on the street to. The transfer case was giving me problems comming out so I gave up today. I decide to go back to the 6 puck disk and leave the restrictor in. I still cant believe that I couldnt see one flaw with the pistons or valves after so many 900degrees C passes on the track with 20psi on pump gas. It makes me kinda wonder what happened to yours Aaron on your 2G. Speaking of that dont you think it is time to sell that car? Maybe all of us can get ourselves in a magazine or something? 5 Tampa DSMs in the 11s. I know the lancer man should be in one when he converts it to AWD.

Ahaha yeah James. If you cant knock off 1/2 second from all the stuff you are doing Ill come over and help you burn it. I dont know what happened to mine. It had to be a failure or a valve got stuck open. I dunno. I wish I could sell this POS. I WAS going to get Dannys hood. I think I owe more than its worth so if I sell it Ill be upside down. I want a Honda hatch to get me back and forth to work without worries.

 

Shooting for 11s and getting there are 2 different things. I would LOVE for all of us to make it. That would be great. Fact is alot of guys tap out and give up before they make it. I have no dreams of it coming easily. I know it will be alot of hard work AFTER I get all the parts to do it. Dyno day is def. in our future though. You Dave Joe Eric soon Glen soon Me soon Lancer man Manny. We all will need dyno time soon and all should have welded diffs in a few months.

 

You are using ARP head studs and Mitsu 4 layer head gasket right?

 

I have the ARPs but still need to get the gaskets. I need to drop the oil pan so I can get the numbers for the rod bearings. This way I can order every thing at once.
