I just had my intake installed the other day. My friend who works at Don Olson sis it for me. When all the stuff is installed we had 2 brackets left. I presume that it is used to hold the intake up but where. The smaller one is shaped like a L and the bigger one is just a long flat piece. I have a Matrix intake and have no idea where to place the brackets. My intake seems pretty sturdy in its place but I guess they gave me the brackets for a reason.....
