I just got my Banzai R-Spec universal muffler and was wondering is there any good place that can install it for a reasonable price? Ive had bad experiences with Midas and will not go there. How about that auto air muffler and brake city? Ive heard they can install your stuff for like 25 buckshour rate. The kit just came with the muffler and no hangers. Are they gonna charge me extra for any misc. parts? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

On the corner of Nebraska and Fowler ave in tampa there is a shop that will do custom cat-back piping for around $80 including the materals needed to do the install. They do a good job. (I had one leak that they fixed for free)

80 bucks cash for everything needed to install the muffler on the car. The cash goes to the guy who does the work not the shop so you arent gonna get a receipt or anything. Go during the week cause the weekends are packed. It took the guy 15 minutes or so to do the job on my eclipse.

Is it really worth upgrading the cat-back piping? I mean I think the stock diameter is 2 14 in. That would be enough for me since I am running NA plus 2gnt.com suggested not to go bigger than 2 14 unless your planning on having a force induction. I have a intake that I have yet to install and planning to get a header soon. I know stock pipes are not mandrel bent. Will it make that much of a difference if I get the same pipe size but mandrel bent instead? Dont wanna loose too much bottom end...

thanks

1Fast I live off Fletcher around the Lake Magdaline area. RS99 the stock piping is around 1 7/8 to 2 inches. The 2 1/4 inch custom piping removes your resonator which is kinda like a second muffler and causes restiction. Also the custom piping has less bends in it so there is even less restiction. When I first had my exhaust done I left the resonator on then later had it removed and the difference was pretty noticeable. The low rpm torque does suffer a little bit with the larger piping but that can be solved really easily with a 4000rpm clutch drop.
